About iphone:
The history of the iPhone line of phones begins with Steve Jobs' direction that Apple Inc. engineers investigate touchscreens and a tablet computer, which later came to fruition with the iPad.Also, many have noted the device's similarities to Apple's previous touch-screen portable device, the Newton MessagePad Like the Newton, the iPhone is nearly all screen. Its form factor is credited to Apple's head of design, Jonathan Ive.

iPhone4:

The iPhone 4 is a touchscreen 3G smartphone developed by Apple Inc. It is the fourth generation iPhone, and successor to the iPhone 3GS. It is particularly marketed for video calling (marketed by Apple as FaceTime), consumption of media such as books and periodicals, movies, music, and games, and for general web and e-mail access. It was announced on June 7, 2010, at the WWDC 2010 held at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, and was released on June 24, 2010, in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Japan.

Because the iPhone is like a mini-computer, it offers the same wide range of features and functions that a computer does. The major areas of function for the iPhone are:
In addition to the standard features of an iPhone (cellular data connection and WiFi, iPod, multitouch screen,  support, GPS, etc.), the iPhone 4 sports:

• 720p (high-def) video recording at 30 frames/second, with LED flash; iMovie app for iPhone for on-camera video editing

• Gyroscope (combined with accelerometer to offer 6-axes for better gaming)

Iphone5 (smart phone)
The iPhone 5 is a touchscreen-based smartphone developed by Apple Inc.. It is the sixth generation of the iPhone and succeeds the iPhone 4S. The phone is a slimmer, lighter model that introduces a higher-resolution, 4-inch screen to the series with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. The phone also includes a custom-designed ARMv7 processor called the Apple A6, an update to Apple's mobile operating system known as iOS 6, and support for LTE.

iPhone 5: Features

• The four-inch screen, which we’ll come onto in detail shortly, is Apple’s belated nod to the industry trend for bigger displays, and means the iPhone 5 now stands a proud 123.8mm tall – width remains the same at 58.6mm.
• The extra screen real-estate is welcome, though smaller-handed iPhone users might struggle to reach the standby button with a forefinger while holding it in a natural position. They might even have to stretch for the extra top row of apps. Just hold it a different way, perhaps.
